Local Heritage Survey Review

FAQ

Anyone in the community is welcome to nominate a place within the City of Bunbury. You don’t need permission from the landowner, and all nominations are kept anonymous.

Any physical place can be nominated if they have heritage significance. Elements that can have significance include (but are not limited to) buildings, structures, gardens, equipment, furniture, trees and archaeological remains.

All nominations are reviewed by an independent heritage consultant engaged by the City.

  • Heritage Rates Concession: A 30% rates concession may be available for up to five years to support approved conservation works.

  • State Heritage Grants: Places listed on the State Register may be eligible for grants through the State Heritage Council’s annual Heritage Grants Program.
